Les McKeown (Bay City Rollers)

McKeown was born in the Simpson Memorial Maternity Hospital, Edinburgh, Scotland. He joined the Bay City Rollers in late 1973. The group's intense popularity, nicknamed "Rollermania", took off shortly afterwards. He was with the band until 1978, at which time he left to pursue a career as a solo artist. He released a series of solo albums which saw modest success, primarily in Germany and Japan. In 1988 and 1989, McKeown worked with Dieter Bohlen. The result of their partnership was the album It's A Game. In 1990, he participated in the UK heats of the Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Ball and Chain", which placed fifth.

The Cassettez

The Cassettez came to life in 2014 through the mutual love of punk-pop music; from bands such as Blink 182, and Green Day, to the new pop-punk’sters such as Busted, and 5 Seconds Of Summer. The girls discovered a love of music through their parents record collection, especially from the New York scene where CBGB’s spawned bands like Blondie, and The Ramones. This sparked a love for a retro sound from an era past, where more girls with guitars and attitude ruled the airwaves. They decided on the name The Cassettez as a homage to this by-gone era of cool technology and music. For their debut album, the girls are working with John McLaughlin, Jud Mahoney, Natalie DeLucia, Dave Thomas Junior, and Kevin Hughes. The Cassettez have made it their mission to bring back three chord wonders, played with attitude and thunder, with a whole bunch of fun thrown in.
